On the surface, Mary Haines appears to have it all: a successful husband, a great daughter, a big Connecticut mansion, a career as second-in-command at her father's clothing business and three lifelong friends -- magazine editor Sylvie Fowler, writer Alex Fisher, an openly lesbian and Edie Cohen a full-time mom . Which of course means that everything's about to go to pot. When Mary discovers that her husband is having an affair, she enlists all of her friends in her revenge cause. While re-examining their own attitudes towards their lives, each other, and their relationships, the ladies team up to help Mary through this difficult time, turning their venom on Crystal, the formidable mistress who won't back down from the affair.
