A cute young Latina lesbian Desi del Valle is looking for love after a painful breakup with her cheating girlfriend Adela. The story is narrated by Desi's best friend, J.T., a skateboard-riding baby butch, who has an obsession for performance artist Marga Gómez and a penchant for helping her friend. After a year in "mourning" Desi's friends wanting to see her happy and involved, so, they begin to intervene and try to set her up with a number of women, all of whom Desi finds less than inspiring. Desi is ready to give up and make a life for herself on her own. Is it really that hard for Desi to find a nice Latina woman who likes poetry and the film Personal Best?
