Laura has long been divorced from her theater-critic husband Alfred, though they still see one another from time to time. One day, while working at the icon museum she directs, Laura strikes up a conversation with Sylvia. The two take a shine to one another immediately, Sylvia soon moves in with Laura and then the problems begin.
